Terms of Service

Last updated: 5 November 2026

Welcome to RootRaid! By creating an account or using rootraid.com, you agree to these terms. They're written in plain English, so please read them.

1. Your account

  • Give correct details and keep your password safe. You're responsible for what happens on your account.
  • One account per person. Don't share it.
  • You must be 16 or older, or have a parent's or guardian's permission.

2. Learn, don't attack 🛡️

RootRaid teaches security so you can defend systems. You agree to:

  • Use what you learn legally and ethically, and only on systems you own or have written permission to test.
  • Not attack RootRaid: no scanning, hacking, overloading, or trying to get answers from the server. If you find a security issue, please report it to hello@rootraid.com. We appreciate responsible disclosure.
  • Not use bots or scripts to answer questions, farm XP or cheat on the leaderboard.

3. Fair play

  • Don't publish full answer sheets for raids. Hints and write-ups that help others learn are welcome once a raid has been out for a while.
  • Keep your display name friendly. No offensive or impersonating names.
  • We may reset XP, remove leaderboard entries or suspend accounts that cheat or break these terms.

4. Our content

  • Raids, datasets, text, graphics, badges and the RootRaid name and logo belong to RootRaid (or to the creators who made them).
  • You can use them for your own learning. Don't copy, resell or republish them without permission.
  • All datasets are fictional and for training only.

5. Content you create

If you submit a raid as a Creator, you keep the rights to your work, but you give RootRaid permission to host, show, edit for quality, and share it on the platform. You promise it's your own work and doesn't break anyone else's rights.

6. Third-party services

Some raids use free services from other companies (for example Microsoft Azure Data Explorer). Your use of those services is covered by their own terms. Microsoft, Azure, Entra ID, Sentinel and Defender are trademarks of Microsoft. RootRaid is independent and not endorsed by Microsoft.

7. Paid plans

RootRaid is free to start. If we offer paid plans, the price, billing and refund details will be shown clearly before you pay.

8. Certificates

RootRaid certificates show that you completed a raid or path on our platform. They are not official certifications from Microsoft or any other company.

9. No guarantees

We work hard to keep RootRaid accurate and online, but the platform and its content are provided "as is". We're not responsible for how you use what you learn, or for losses caused by downtime or mistakes in content, as far as the law allows.

10. Changes and ending

  • We may update these terms. We'll update the date above and tell you about big changes.
  • You can stop using RootRaid and ask us to delete your account at any time.
